5 Reasons Why Introverts Are Living Their Best Lives
I didn’t choose the introvert life. It chose me and the older I get the more grateful I am it did. I no longer feel pressure from family members, teachers, and society to conform. I’m content living the introvert life. I socialize when I want to, and I sit alone quietly when I want to.
Introverts are not all the same and I do not claim to speak for every introvert. However, I’ve heard a lot of misconceptions that portray us all as shy, quiet, awkward, weird, anti-social, and nerdy little people haters who hole up inside our homes and offices and rarely go outside to touch grass or see the sun.
Lies.
We have friends, we touch grass, we don’t hate people (well … except for the ones who talk excessively or show up to our homes and offices unannounced). We’re not all shy either. If we’re not saying much, there could be a few reasons.
a. We’re reading the room and the people in it
b. We have nothing to add to the conversation and don’t feel the need to make small talk
c. We enjoy the silence
