I absolutely love Fridays. Saturdays are a close second, but Fridays have always been my favorite ever since I was a child. The anticipation of freedom from school, work, and the monotony of everyday responsibilities feels euphoric, especially, now that I’m grown. In fact, just thinking about Friday makes me grin. I wanna text Friday right now and see how it’s day is going and when we can see each other again. I wanna be booed up with Friday.

I wondered what it would feel like to experience that Friday “feeling” daily and not just once a week. What would it be like to stop living for the weekend and just be excited about every day? It’s definitely possible, but it does require a little intentionality.

Here are a few ways to help you capture a little of that Friday feeling every day of the week.

Make time to do what you love: Whether it’s reading, painting, baking, sewing, or whatever brings you joy, make time to do it during the week. So often we wait until the weekend to slow down long enough to enjoy these things. Slow down now. Make the time now. Even if you only have 20 minutes, take it and do your thing.
